CALL YOUR MEMBER OF CONGRESS
Congress is trying to cut critical environmental programs that protect the air we breathe and the water we drink. This fight is personal for the Latino community. Nearly half of the country’s 56 million Latinos live in the 15 worst areas for ozone pollution. This puts them at risk for premature death, lung cancer, asthma attacks, and other health issues.
Cuts to the EPA budget would eliminate more than 50 programs. These programs include those covering pesticide safety, water runoff control, research programs, and environmental hazards from lead, poor air quality, and radiation. We need Congress to prioritize our health and our communities.
It’s time our elected officials hear from us.
